"I will," Tonks replied with a soft smile. She would have made a joke, but the sentiment was a good one... and was only made more poignant by the fact that it immediately made her think of her father, and how absent he'd been lately, though she had no idea why.
She focused herself on his next question instead. "I'm a hitwizard," she replied easily, and she smiled, though it wasn't the same proud and pleased smile she might have shown just a few weeks ago at the thought. Lately things at her job had just felt... off, though she hadn't quite figured out why. Being around some of the people, like her boss (who was also her Aunt) and a few of the other hitwizards, had started to affect her in ways it never had before. Making her sick to her stomach though she didn't know why, just couldn't quite make it click. And it hadn't helped that they'd been so busy lately, especially with the new manhunt they'd been put on.
It was weird how that thought seemed to stick in her mind, of the manhunt, and the meeting they'd had where the picture had been passed around... and then her eyes lifted up and met John's, and she looked over his face again, and suddenly, realization dawned. Her eyes widened, not enough but just slightly, and before she could stop herself, she exhaled softly, "Remus Lupin!"
