Harry really didn't see why that couldn't be done. He had been considering it anyway, after what Ginny had said about bringing the fight to Voldemort instead of letting him dictate the terms of how this ended. Yes, it had seemed a good idea to try and figure out how to destroy the last horcrux before actually going into battle, but maybe Voldemort would bring the snake with him to battle. Or maybe they could kill Voldemort, and then someone - like Neville, if none of them survived, or the two Death Eaters that had saved Ron's life - would take care of destroying the snake.
He didn't know how to say any of that, though. Hermione was falling apart, he could see that. They couldn't just start discussing battle plans while she felt like that. But what could he do to make it better?
Instinctively, he got to his feet, wand tightly held in his hand. There was no immediate danger, but he still felt better for holding it.
"Um," he said, taken aback by Ron's question. As if in response, his scar prickled again, and he winced, raising his hand to touch his forehead. "Well, my scar is still... why?"
