Millicent led the way inside as they danced. It was still strange to her how comfortable this felt, the way everything she did just seemed to be accepted and even liked by Bayleigh. As soon as she felt eyes on them, though, she stiffened and stopped, instinctively wanting to reach for her wand. Then she heard the Minister's voice, and her instinct told her to drop her hands to her sides and wait for orders. Even though this was Bayleigh's father, he was still the Minister to Millicent, one of the very highest among those the Dark Lord had chosen to Mark, and Millicent's superior in every way. Even in the slightly ridiculous state they'd just found him in, which made her eyes widen briefly and then a frown appear on her brow before she looked away.
She had not been addressed, so she stood silently, waiting for a sign or a question to be directed at her as to how best to proceed.
