Marek vaguely remembered telling her when his birthday was, now that she'd mentioned it. After all, he knew when hers was. It only made sense that she knew when his birthday was, too. And he was glad that she did, since it meant that she was here, even before he'd decided to invite her. That was a very happy surprise.
"I'm glad you remembered," he said with a grin. He was good with remembering important dates, too, even if he occasionally remembered at the last minute. He already had a few ideas for what to give her for her birthday, though, assuming they were still alright when August came around, which was in his plans. But he hadn't started making anything, yet. That would be incredibly premature.
His grin was wide and a little bit childish when she held up his present, and he released her to hold his hands out for it. "Awesome."
