"You never gave yourself enough credit," Hermione smiled, "you were a brilliant Keeper but you never thought so." It really had been a right shame that Umbridge had been such a cow and had cancelled Quidditch. Hermione had never cared much about the sport, but she liked watching Ron play, even over summers at the Burrow.
Instinctively, Hermione's hand reached out for his. "It's not a one-way street, you know. Without you and Harry, who knows where I would be? Azkaban? Already dead? I wouldn't have stood a chance without you." Realizing that her hand was on his, she blushed again and started to pull it back. She didn't want to get too far ahead of herself, even if they had kissed. He hadn't mentioned it since then, though, and she was slightly terrified to bring it up herself.
