Barty wasn't distracted by the interaction between him and Chas. perhaps because being close to her was so natural and easy. It didn't really require any thought. If he had put any thought to it, though, he would have thought that he liked the feeling of outwardly being with her. That was neither here nor there, though.
He glanced, too, appearing to read a sign just to the left of the pair. Yes, they certainly looked like the photos, but the photos were ages old. There was one detail he was looking for, though, that would be the true test of whether or not these were the people for whom they were searching.
The man tilted his head as he spoke endearingly to the woman across from him. Just a bit more, Barty thought silently. There! His eyes lit up excitedly as he spotted the tell-tale birthmark on the back of the man's neck just barely below his collar. It had been in one photo, one photo from years ago. It was good that he'd made note of the minute detail, otherwise finding them would have been mere guesswork.
Eyes darkening, he looked back at Chas and nodded once to affirm that they had successfully found their targets. Mission accomplished. He doubted capturing the pair would be any work, at all, now.
