Depending on how she'd approached the situation, she could have gotten genuine answers, or answers designed to win her back over, and she was fairly certain she'd gotten the former.
She considered thanking him for explaining, but she had not requested it. Still, although it was not intentional, he was doing her a favor. There was no reason to fear or hate someone when she knew precisely how they might betray her. The real people to fear were those whose motivations were unknown to her.
