Colin often wondered what would have happened if they weren't in the middle of a war, if danger hadn't been a part of their lives. He was never certain if he'd have been as good if he hadn't been pushed, if there hadn't been a very good reason for him to be better. He wanted to believe he'd do as well, but maybe he wouldn't. Being on the run sometimes made him worry about things more than was strictly necessary, and he knew that...but at the same time, he wasn't really sure what else to do.
He let out a small sigh, happy to be exactly where he was. He liked sitting in Zach's lap. The cuddling was good and the other things, too. Spending time with people was nice. He loved Dennis more than anyone in the world, but it had been lonely with only Dennis. Then he'd found Justin and Rose and it was like the world got brighter and better.
"A little, yes. The pictures," he said by way of explanation. "I don't know all the details. Seamus was his best friend, right? Well...is, I suppose." He frowned slightly. "I think he's getting restless a little, too. Gryffindor instincts and all."
