Patience smiled at that, watching the girl bat at the string. She leaned back too far to hit it while it was over her head, and and flopped back against Patience's knee. Her hands came up to make sure her kitten didn't fall to the floor, but it wasn't necessary.
"I've been..." she began, and tried to think of the right word. "Worried. About everyone, about everything, really. It feels like things are changing." She looked up at Chastity. "Is that just me?"
