There - once she was off of him and not acting so insane, Devlin felt much less annoyed with her. He liked her when she talked softly, it made it easier to be near her. He raised an eyebrow, giving her another once-over and noticing just how dirty she was, feeling rather gross that all that dirt was just sitting on him. "Go ahead," he responded, giving her a dismissing nod before picking the book back up again, grateful for another few minutes of peace. He waited a moment before giving her another look, noticing as she still stood there the uncomfortable look on her face. He sighed, putting his book down again and moving so his feet were on the floor, sitting facing her.
