"You wanted to kiss me, so you shouldn't apologize for acting on something you wanted, yeah?" He explained, still smiling to her. She seemed so nervous to have acted on that instinct, but the fact that she did seemed to mean more then the fact she had immediately begun apologizing after. He took in a very deep breath, as he brought his hand back up to rest against her cheek, stroking her skin gently.
"You're not just wanting to kiss me because I'm leaving, right?" He asked, quietly, because he needed to know what exactly it was that Katie wanted. This was all new for him. He hadn't ever thought Katie had found him attractive and while he had noted her grown up appearance, he hadn't let himself really look at her much.
As he focused in on her expression, he wondered to himself simply why he hadn't.
