He shifted, so his gaze could be focused completely on her. He frowned at her immediate response. He had a feeling she wasn't thinking rationally, that she was speaking purely from emotion at that moment. If she was truly thinking, she'd understand why he had to leave with his family, even if he didn't want to. He sucked in a slow breath, his hand reached out to rest on the top of her knee, as he spoke quietly.
"I don't want to," he assured her. It allowed her to know this wasn't an easy decision but also was able to tell that he couldn't change his mind. "But if I don't, they might use me against Ron. We can't have that," he explained.
"We'll still be able to communicate. We'll just need to be a bit more cautious about it."
