Charlie hadn't know what to do with himself. When he received the message from Bill, he glanced around his apartment, wondering if he should even worry with packing. Did he pack in this situation? Did he have much to pack even? He wasn't one for valuables or prized possessions. He couldn't think of anything worth taking. What mattered to him was the fact that almost all of his family was going into hiding. They were going to be safe and able to protect one another. It made the situation a bit better. If only they could find a way to convince Percy. Or didn't have to do this at all. That would be ideal.
But they did. And after standing in his apartment, watching the clock tick away the minutes for a great deal longer then he should have, he decided he should at least say goodbye to those he did not think he'd see for a very long time. But the fact of the matter was that most of his friends were already in hiding. Or back in Romania. That was how he found himself outside of Katie's apartment, his head down, not really looking happy or thrilled to be there. He wasn't happy.
He didn't want to do this.
He reached out, knocking swiftly upon her door, before taking a step back. He was going to be able to stay for as long as he could before heading to the burrow, having already sent his items ahead of him, what little he had chosen to pack.
