Patience pressed against him, holding him tightly, her head resting against his shoulder. She wasn't frightened, not on her behalf at least. There were good things that came with being stuck in the middle: her sister could protect her from quite a bit, would protect her from anything even if Patience didn't want her to. And she had people on the other side who understood her motivations, like Remus, and who would protect her, like Fred.
"I can take care of myself, Fred," she said with a little smile, touching his cheek before taking the mirror. It was endearing how everyone wanted to protect her, and she had needed it at times, but she was far more aware of the world and its dangers than she had once been. "I don't want to contact you only in an emergency. I'll miss you, you know."
She would contact him in an emergency, if she needed, though not if she was calling him to his death. No one was going to use her against him, she wouldn't let them. "Do you have to leave right now?"
