"No," Zach laughed a little. And he didn't expect her to. He remembered once as a kid fancying her to make him pancakes for his birthday breakfast, but the elf couldn't lie to him when he told it not to. So Zach knew the elf had made it. "House elf is a wonderful cook," Zach replied, "Not that I can get it to teach me, just gets all offended I don't want to eat its food." Zach was happy to eat elf-cooked food whenever he was home. But he didn't have or want an elf here.
"I'm rude to people sometimes," Zach pointed out, "Sometimes for no reason at all." He had told Colin he wasn't that good a person, so he wasn't going to hide it now. There were times when Zach could be quite an ass. Sometimes he had a reason - someone being a dick or something. But sometimes, he just didn't care about the people around him.
But he was still surprised at Colin's response. "It's not a bother," Zach shook his head a little, but he still kissed Colin back. "Less things to collect dust."
