Zach just...didn't know what to do around Colin. He really really wanted Colin and to be with Colin, but that was selfishness talking. Zach also knew he wasn't good for Colin. Or at least, Colin definitely could do much much better than him. And if Zach tried to be good, that would only make Colin stay longer, and that would hurt him more wouldn't it? But Zach didn't want to let go.
He listened to what Colin said, looking at his face, his mouth, the way little muscles moved. Zach sort of nodded along, though he looked confused about the comment of Colin's mother wanting to hear about him. He knew some people were...out or whatever. But still, lots of people weren't...okay with, uh, stuff. Gay-like stuff. "She wouldn't- she's okay with- um," Zach sort of motioned between the two of them.
But he sat down, finding it easy enough to follow an order to sit still. Or relatively still. He looked through some of the photos, mentally kicking himself because it was so hard to even look a photo of Cedric in the face. His hands moved around, nervous and needing to do something. At first he did eat some chocolate, almost swallowing a chunk whole. He decided to stop eating chocolate at that point.
Somehow his hands found Hector, and he picked the camera up, turning it over. Colin had always said he saw what people were like in photos. So maybe Colin hadn't been able to see it. Maybe the potion had done...something. But Zach knew the truth. Holding the camera toward him, Zach took a couple of photos.
