That smile made his heart ache. He tried to give him one in return, but he found that he did as well as Zach had. Colin stepped inside quietly, holding out the pictures for his boyfriend. "Here are the pictures that I found." He tried to keep looking at Zach, but the fact that he felt so uncomfortable and awkward made him look away for a moment.
He didn't like the settling discomfort. Earlier it had been easy and not bad...and certainly not difficult. He looked up at him again, smiling weakly. "I hope those pictures are good enough. It's not as many as there could be." He moved to give him a hug, feeling even more awkward. Why was this so uncomfortable?
"I brought chocolate, too. Just in case you want any." He stepped away from Zach, pulling out a couple bars of chocolate. "Just like I said. I l-" He cut himself off, glancing down. "Have you eaten? I could make tuna if you're hungry. I'm not really supposed to use the stove or be around sharp stuff, but I think Mum wouldn't get really upset. I'm thinking of sending her something in the post, actually."
