Breakfast was something small. It broke the fast and gave her a bit of energy to get going through the day. Their later meals would be much larger - even for Italians - since they were eating at restaurants. If they were working, it would have been less. But cooking always took a lot of time, so that made sense. Her lunches were usually not very large, so as not to interrupt her work. That was partly why she ate more in England. That and it was the norm, which she grew used to.
"Yes," Lili laughed a little at his pronunciation. It was off, and he sounded even more British than when he spoke in English. "Cornetto," Felixa repeated, saying the word more slowly and emphasizing each syllable. "Are you going to teach yourself Italian?" she asked. If he did, her little asides would no longer be so much...aside, but Lili was fine with that. Among other things, he had discovered her tendency to revert to Italian at certain times.
