Having never met her parents, Marek definitely could not say that he cared about them. They'd raised Felixa, so he supposed they couldn't be all bad. He knew that children sometimes grew up into awesome people in spite of their parents, but only if they had some other kind of family; that was his opinion, at least. He had been lucky in his family - his relationship with his older sister wasn't the best, but he still loved her, he just didn't always like her.
Other people's family situations were different, though. He wasn't going to try to make guesses about Felixa's before she decided to tell him about it. That wasn't really his place, and his guesses would probably be way off base, anyway. He forgot about it when she Apparated them, and looked around.
"Venice," he said, almost as if trying out the word. "Serenissima, the city of water." He had been slightly fascinated by the idea of this place when he'd heard about it before, although lacking wanderlust, had not been here or planned to come here. Now that he was here, though, he remembered that feeling. This particular alley wasn't terribly different, although the people seemed more animated, perhaps everything a bit more colorful, the architecture unique. "It's gorgeous so far."
