Marek nodded. He was slightly more stubborn than Melinda on that front, less emotionally volatile, and so had needed to rely on willpower more than anger to throw it off. He still had more difficulty when it was Melinda, since despite their bickering he was inclined to trust her with his life, but considering he never expected her to Imperius him for anything other than practice, that wasn't really a problem.
"Yeah, we've had practice with that," he said, which was true enough. In truth, considering the vague impression he'd gotten from Melinda's stories about Ella's talents, that was potentially a more relevant question than Felixa even realized. Or perhaps she did realize what they were up against. Even though Felixa was slightly less mysterious to him than she was before, Marek was not going to underestimate what knowledge she might have in that powerful brain of hers.
