Melinda was standing and closer to the door, so she went to get it, tugging at her shirt self-consciously. She wasn't used to having a door to get -- people rarely came around the manor, and when they did, their parents usually went to get it. It felt terribly awkward. Maybe she should make some rule that said Marek had to get it and she had to do something else in return.
Somehow, it had slipped her mind that Felixa would be teaching them, and she was momentarily startled, but remembered and covered it easily, smiling. "Hello. Come in," she said, stepping back and noting, as Felixa passed, that she was a couple of inches shorter than Melinda, even in shoes and Melinda in socks. Ha. She busied herself with the lock on the door, giving Marek a chance to take over any kind of social component here. With anyone else she might have been a little easier, but like...this was her brother's new girlfriend and that was really weird and oh Merlin she hoped they weren't going to kiss hello or something.
