Theodore did not blame her in the least for that thought. He was not a vengeful person, did not take his anger and emotions out on others, but what Tracey had suffered at Blaine Borgin's hands was so utterly, awfully wrong, and had gone on for so long, that he could not even comprehend how it must feel to her now, to realize the truth about it. But she was strong, oh, she was so strong; she was already recovering, already sorting out her emotions. He could see it in her eyes. "I love you, too," he said, meaning it. "I don't know what's going to happen now, but we're in this together, right?"
Merlin, he hoped so. He could bear doing this alone if he had to, but it would be so much better with her at his side.
