Theodore started when she spoke; he hadn't noticed her quiet approach. He smiled when he looked up and saw her, though, realizing only now how tired he was. He reached out to take her hand, and tugged her down for brief kiss. "Yes," he said quietly, with a soft sigh. "I couldn't sleep. I-- this is what my father left me. And what made Zach so upset."
Well, that wasn't entirely accurate, but it was close enough. He closed the book, and shifted it over a few inches in her direction. She could look, if she wanted to - it would probably be easier than him trying to explain, especially after the sheer amount of information he'd tried to absorb that night.
