Remus had wished they could have the traditional and big wedding for everyone to take part in. He really wished that they could. He wanted to have the ability to celebrate their union with their friends and their family, to celebrate happiness and their future together. The trouble was that he did not know when they would be able to do this. It would have to wait until after the war had ended. With how it had been going for the past five years, he couldn't really find the courage to believe it would be over soon. Nor would it be over in a clean manner. He feared the idea of losing more of their family and more of their friends before this event could take place, but even more, he feared the possibility of losing her. He would do anything to protect her and to ensure her safety; but he couldn't be certain of how things would turn out. All he could do was hope.
Which was why he hoped for the best but decided along with Dora that it was best to go ahead with their plans. He couldn't think of a thing in his life he wanted more then to be her husband.
He had pulled together the best looking outfit he could. He didn't have much in the area of choices but he thought he had done well enough. At least he didn't look completely tousled with his outfit. He was buttoning his sleeves when she came down and instinctively his hands went to his eyes, smiling a bit as he hid behind his finger tips. "Isn't bad luck to see the bride before the ceremony?" He asked, a playful grin on his face before he spread his finger tips apart and peeked at her.
She was stunning. His hand slipped down from his face and he took a step towards her. "You look marvelous," he promised, leaning in to kiss her forehead. "And they have not arrived yet."
