Emmeline laughed and took the glass from him, gesturing for him to sit beside her on the couch. She didn't mind his flirting, at all; he was certainly a very important person to her, as well, and in truth probably would not have minded if he had been genuinely intending to flirt with her. Nor would she have minded if he brought someone home; that had been the truth.
"Well, I'm glad," she said, smiling at him. "But if it ever is a problem, I hope you'll let me know. I'm a very reasonable woman, I won't be angry."
