Theodore inclined his head, accepting her apology. He was handling it well, all things considered, at least on the surface. He was an expert at keeping all emotion, especially emotion that might impair his judgment, buried deep inside. But he dealt with it, privately, in his own way, unlike people he had known and treated who attempted to bottle everything up inside and ended up exploding. Theodore Nott did not explode.
"I doubt that will be necessary," he said with a little smile. "But if it is, it can certainly be arranged. I think it will only be necessary to cover the supplies, which should not be terribly expensive. I'd like to take this case myself, for personal reasons. I think we can come to an arrangement that would work very well for everyone involved."
He took a sip of his tea. "I can assure you that my situation will not result in any less care for your father. While taking time off from the clinic, he will have my undivided attention."
