Gilbert, despite what might be thought, was not thinking about fainting at all. In fact, he had a rather good constitution. He very rarely felt the need to faint. Not even when around situations in which he felt physically ill. He never fainted, he just focused on the important things and the reasons for being there. If nothing else, he focused on facts. It was his way of coping with confusing things.
Right now, however, he could not focus at all on facts. There were no facts that he wanted to focus on, none that he could particularly even think of to focus on.
