"Only if the players are inexperienced," Angela volleyed back sweetly. She enjoyed making Hestia laugh; she was getting the impression that the other woman hadn't gotten nearly enough chances to do so lately.
That blush made Angela want to crow in triumph and point, but she didn't. Definitely deserved brownies later for her self restraint. Or more drinks. Or other activities. She wondered if they could get William's parents to watch Adrian for the night...
"You're so adorable!" Angela couldn't resist a giggle. As she'd grown older and out of her own awkward years, her enjoyment in watching others be awkward had exponentially grown.
And then came the usual prattle about her mother. The things people always said. They meant well. Angela sighed, "It's not something you need to concern yourself over; there are more important things to be addressed."
As for her, she would come to terms with the fact that her plan to introduce her son to his grandmother would never happen in the dark of the night, lying awake in her bed.
"If he remembers every wand he ever sold, though," Which he claimed he did, "Wouldn't your magic be familiar? I'm not really sure exactly how wands work..."
"I don't know if it works like that either." She smiled, "Yes, I'm sure. I'll have another wand, I'll be fine. You can try Ollivander, of course, but I simply do not like the idea of you going without in the meantime."
"You can have it on the condition you promise to live to return it to me."
