"I was only joking," Daphne said in response to Theo's expression. Of course the idea of St. Mungo's going out of business was absurd.
She made a show of looking around the shop's front room, which was clearly empty. "I think the other customers can wait just a little bit," she said. "This way." She lead him behind the counter and into the back room. The back room was filled with rows of cauldrons of various sizes and plenty of counter space. Some of the cauldrons had potions brewing and more evidence of the day's work was on the counter where a knife and a few ingredients were sitting. "Sit," she said, gesturing towards a corner where two large chairs were. She sat down in her own chair, beside which a few large stacks of books sat.
"So, private practice?" she asked. "Are you here to ask for my services? Or have you finally mastered the fine art of Potion brewing?"
