Terrence thought he had answered Kingsley's most important question: how exactly does the Mark compel people? He hadn't been able to answer it with many specifics about how it was tied in to the Mark, but he thought that was implied. "You could probably convince someone that they needed to do something, go somewhere, for the benefit of the Ministry," he said. "You're a hit wizard, they should be assuming you're employed by the Ministry to keep them safe, anyway. Start spinning it like that, and you might get somewhere."
That wasn't replicating it, exactly, but using it the same way Terrence or Ella might, except without the Mark to back it up. Being Marked definitely added to their ability to persuade people to do what they wanted, but an authoritative man like Kingsley might be able to get away with it.
"Could try writing in," he suggested, after thinking about it for a moment. "Letters to the editor. Wouldn't be on the front page, wouldn't be written by a member of the staff, and if we're writing them ourselves, we can pick exactly what they should say." It'd have to be subtle enough to get printed, of course, but that went without saying.
