Kingsley's subtly and sometimes failure at a social life was probably his saving grace. Even Hestia he couldn't be tied to. They had both been Order and at the Ministry, and Kingsley had made sure never to be connected with anyone in the Order. Bill, of course, was an exception, but they had known each other since they were boys. And if Bill ever were to get implicated in something, there were larger concerns than himself. The man had a daughter, for Merlin's sake.
"I guess in this day and age that's all it takes," Kingsley commented, "Queer by association." It was an interesting substitution for gay. After all, people were openly gay, including some of import.
Then the owner was back, and Kingsley ordered a shot of espresso. Tea was more his drink, in general, but he was in a coffee shop. They were back in almost no time at all, which made Kingsley smile.
It was time for business. "There are many issues at hand," Kingsley's demeanor grew more serious, and his words were crisp and clear, "The government has noticed people coming off the potion. First of all, we need their attention to return to more...pressing matters. Secondly, that puts everyone under the potion at risk, and we need to develop ways of controlling them." And that was besides needing to rely on Terrence and Ella in ways that blew their cover. "Thirdly, we need to figure out targeted methods of getting people off the potion. Lastly, for now, we should also develop our own system of portkeys."
Still, he smiled slightly, "Interested?" There were many ways to take the conversation, and if Terrence were only able to help with one or more, the faster they got to those the better.
