Oh, lord, the number of jokes that could be made about their current situation were endless. Terrence was amused to get a laugh out of Kingsley, and amused even further by the joke about being outed. He chuckled to himself as he looked over the menu. The quiet of the place was a little bit disconcerting, even though he was aware that no one else could hear him when he spoke, but that was just his personal preference. Quiet made Terrence want to be loud, but that urge would probably go away once they got down to business. Hopefully this was going to be an exciting and productive meeting.
"No, definitely not," he said. "I've got everyone convinced I'm a straight arrow. Things would go badly very quickly if someone found me out. And for you, too, I imagine."
He chuckled to himself about that as he looked at his menu. As he'd told Kingsley in writing, he wasn't the one that was paranoid, between the two of them: no, he had an enormous amount of confidence in himself and his ability to handle what he was doing. Kingsley was not necessarily very paranoid, but it wasn't difficult to be more paranoid than someone like Terrence, who refused to be afraid of anything at all.
