"We could have natural skylights, with charms to fake the light when there's a storm outside," Marek suggested. "Although I don't think I'd mind being able to see a lightning storm through them, or them getting covered in snow. Those would be the days we'd probably have a fire going in here anyway." He was still looking up, considering. "I think I'd like a large one right over my bed."
So that he could see the sky when he went to sleep, and wake up with the sun as he usually did. He'd always been an early riser, so letting light into his room early in the morning didn't bother him. "We could also tie it to the emotions of whoever's in there with us. If you had company and they suddenly feel murderous and you don't have time to react, I'd want to know about it immediately, and vice versa." He wasn't even just talking about the naughty sort of company this time. And he was still fairly confident in his ability to just know when Melinda was in danger, because she was his twin, but having wards to confirm it for him wouldn't do any harm.
