Giacomo had not been Felixa's first fencing coach, but he had been able to handle her brutally inquisitive tongue as a child, which asked more questions and required true answers, not hogwash. That hadn't gone over so well with her first coach, who wanted her only to focus on a few things at a time - not a bad approach. But refusing to answer her questions? That hadn't ended well.
"He speaks enough," Felixa replied, "He used to fence internationally. But you can only take individual lessons in English." The group lessons were all in Italian. And the small tournaments the school sometimes held. She needed to practice more if she was going to take part in one of those soon.
"Italian is more beautiful a language than English though," Felixa pointed out with a smile.
