"I believe there are more of us that would react similarly." Gilbert did not like the idea that he could not figure something out. He could be a little stubborn about those things as well.
He flushed just slightly at the last comment. "It was not that I was against people. I merely did not get along with very many." He glanced down. "Though, Mr. Smith did assist me with something not work related, which I admit is not something I do a lot of. At least...not with other people." Perhaps this was what it was like, finding interest in something absolutely mundane for the simple need not to look up at your conversation partner. "We managed to set up a television."
Clearing his throat, Gilbert glanced up again. "Perhaps they were. I, oddly enough, cannot remember exactly what the mixture of things gone wrong brought about my most significant mishap."
