Chas had become one of the very few Barty trusted. It was apparent to him, now more than ever, that they weren't doing a brilliant job in ensuring that everyone remained loyal and someone on the inside had been the key to Hestia Jones escaping and most like Luna and Xenophilius Lovegood before that. It was troubling, but the blow was easier to take once Chas had provided further information. They may have lost Hestia, but they could make up for it.
He'd been expecting her, of course, as he'd been the one to initiate the meeting. His trust in her was the reason he'd requested it in the first place. Signaling for her to enter his office, Barty was momentarily taken off guard by the sight of her. He could swear she intentionally tried to make him lose his cool. Taking a deep breath, he nodded once and gestured toward one of free chairs.
"I apologize for the loss of your toy," he began, "but you may have given me a new game plan."
