He listened, bowing his head partially as he reached back and scratched his neck, thinking on what she was saying. He took in a slow breath and gave a very subtle nod. "No, I couldn't imagine wanting to sleep either. Even if we are safe, it is hard to assure ourselves of that in dreams," he said quietly before lifting his head.
He nodded his head once again. "I was ready to charge the moment I knew something was wrong...I was very worried," he admitted, feeling as if that was fair to admit to her. He then shook his head back and forth. "Nonsense. You'd have done the same for us. You being alive is all the pay back I could ask for," he explained, looking to her now. He felt a shiver run up his back at her last statement. He hadn't allowed himself to think on that possibility in the height of everything that had been going on. He didn't like to think on it now. He frowned just slightly. "Thankfully that did not occur," he finally whispered.
