"You look a little worse for wear, but it is to be expected." He smiled a little, doing his best not to frown quite as much. He really had done enough of that to last him a while. "Give it a few days and you will start to look like your old self." He had to pause for a minute, chuckling softly. "Well, your old self with varied yellowish bruises. It does not sound very appealing, but at least the yellow hue would signify the near end of your bruises." He waved off her comment about not needing to get her anything. "You cannot sit here in pain this whole time. I wish to make sure you are comfortable."
Gilbert resisted the urge to squeeze her hand as tight as he wanted at that moment. "I would not have let them do that." Not if he had to tear up the entire Ministry of Magic to do so. "Trouble? Ah. I can get myself out of trouble enough. You need not worry about such things." He felt his heart swell (even if that was clearly an illogical impossibility) at her last statement. "Then I shall endeavour to make sure you continue to feel so. I will be sure that you are in tip top shape in no time."
