Well, she didn't beat around the bush, Draco thought wryly. He might have to be careful about that if he chose to use her talents again, or perhaps he simply wouldn't unleash her on anyone that didn't deserve the full treatment.
He'd planned to ask the questions, and let her do the convincing to answer them, but undermining her in front of their victim would do very little good unless her methods weren't working, or unless she wasn't asking the questions to Draco's satisfactions. He was also amused by the way she'd chosen to address him in a very similar way to how Draco had just addressed her. The man was already staring up at her in pain, eyes wide with fear, but he made no move to answer. Could have been the blood in his mouth, though considering he didn't even make an effort, Draco suspected he actually believed he might get out of this alive if he didn't admit to anything.
Then he gave the slightest of nods, and Draco turned his gaze to Melinda. There was creativity in torture, and then there was the right use of words. He hadn't intended to test her intelligence as well as her skill in causing pain, but now he was curious about what she would do.
