It had taken Draco longer than he liked to investigate this particular problem, considering the way everything had exploded after Remus Lupin's subversive journal entry. But he had not forgotten; he never forgot important details. And he had been keeping an eye on the man, noticing that there did indeed seem to be some discrepancies in what he reported. At least, things were happening, people were being attacked, and none of those things had been reported. Draco, probably like everyone else, had assumed that it was a failure on the part of the Ministry's Seers; the head of the Department probably figured he had a lot of leeway, considering what a sketchy branch of magic Divination could be.
But if the Seers were doing their job, as Cerise Fortescue seemed to be, then it was her boss's fault. Either he was completely incompetent (giving him the benefit of the doubt, which Draco wasn't particularly inclined to do), or he was doing it on purpose. Either way, Draco wouldn't have bet his a Knut on the man keeping his job much longer.
He entered the Department, and was directed to where Ms. Fortescue was working. He knocked lightly on her door, waiting patiently for her to respond; after all, she did seem to be good at her job, and he didn't want to interrupt her.
