Bomba couldn't miss a Weird Sisters concert for the world. Kirley was her best friend, after all, and if she went too long without attending a concert of some sort, she went through serious withdraw. It was almost as if she fed off of them, all the energy in the air, the music, the mass of humanity. For her, heaven would be half mosh pit, and half quiet home with a library, where she could move between the two without pause.
Tonight, however, she was a t a concert, and she was partying like tomorrow would never come. She thought she saw Meaghan at one point, and waved, but it might have gotten lost in the crowd. Or maybe she didn't recognise her, as Bomba was dressed uncharateristically, in an undeniably female outfit, when it was far, far, far from the norm of her usual attire. Bomba hadn't worn a skirt in a year and a half, let alone this skirt, which barely covered vital areas, but damn it, she wanted to be a bloody female for a night. Screw being one of the boys.
It had had the desired effect, one of the roadies had hit on her, which had helped her self-esteem immensely, and once she had gotten Theo to mosh for longer than five minutes, she felt her mission was complete.
After the show, she jumped the stage, waved to the owner of the venue, and nicked Duke's jacket from where he had thrown it in a corner. She didn't even realise some of the catcalls were for her, as she always jumped the stage. She went backstage while shrugging on the jacket, and looking around for Duke.
When she found him, he was facing her, which left her no room for her usual sneak attack of jumping on his back. Sad, it almost made her bout under the pink lip gloss she had spent twenty minutes figuring out how to put on and charm properly. Thank goodness for Witch Weekly, even if it was an old gossip rag most of the time. The articles were handy for girls who had no mothers to teach them how to apply make-up. Lip gloss was her limit, though, and she had visited her father's make-up artist, to have him do her eyes up for her, with blue mascara and eyeshadow to match her outfit in some crazy high-fashion thing. She liked it. She could never do it herself, but it was pretty cool.
"Great show," she said with a smirk, pulling the jacket down slightly as if wheedling. "Look what I found."
