"She's not dangerous, and yet everyone's saying she hurt someone. I wonder why that is," he said wryly. Nope. He wasn't buying the story that his aunt was a harmless decent human being. It didn't matter that she hadn't once raised a hand to him – he was family, but if she knew better, if she actually knew him for who he was, Scorpius was very certain he wouldn't be considered family by Bellatrix.
Scorpius didn't understand that thirst for more power. He saw it and frowned at it. Knowledge was one thing, but he liked passive knowledge. The kind you wouldn't use to have leverage over someone.
He knew it was the opposite case with his friend.
"Your father's responsible for vanquishing the Dark Lord. She can really see past that?" Scorpius asked doubtfully. "She probably just wants to use you."
