She watched him walk away, just like she knew he would have if she'd stayed in England. George wasn't the sort of person who would fight for her. Or maybe she wasn't worth fighting for. Pansy knew that much was true. No one in her life had ever fought for her. Not her family, not Draco and certainly not George.
When he paused, she thought for a split second that he might reach out for her. Instead he told her that he couldn't forget Amelie, but he could forget her. Pansy swallowed back at the lump in her throat. He didn't care about her anymore. She knew it would happen after she left, but it still hurt.
