Everyone that came to this island received a job. Luna had received one she had neither any interest or talent in. She also hardly cared for money. As such, Luna was most often found not at work. Most days she made it into the shoppe in the morning. Every once in a while she would stick around, and maybe do what Draco asked of her. Other times she would head to the appointments inhabitants made. However, most days? Luna either didn't show up at all, or she did the complete opposite of what was asked of her. Truthfully, she didn't care what Draco said. Usually he let her mind her own business; probably because without Luna around his own work went more smoothly. Luna was a distraction, between criticizing wood to wondering what creatures were out and about today, the carpentering shop was more pleasant without her.
Today Luna had gone to work. She dilly-daddled around for a bit, but didn't stay for long. Luna had much more important work to do. She'd told the postman about her progress, but one bird was still giving her a bit of trouble. Today she intended on righting that, so all three would be ready for him. Once outside, Luna called for the bird. She'd named it and given it its own specific call. After about ten minutes, the bird came. This put a smile upon Luna's face - the progress he'd made was astounding. "'Ello Reniup," Luna greeted. The name was completely original, and truthfully just a mash-up of syllables Luna liked.
Holding out a treat, the tropical bird waddled towards Luna. It was a gorgeous creature, blue, purple, and red. Luna had always adored tropical birds; they were so much more vibrant than owls. Holding out a letter, she tapped it three times. "This is a letter I want you to deliver to Luna Lovegood's bungalow. There will be another letter waiting on the front porch, that letter needs to come back to me." After her instructions, Luna gave the bird and affectionate scratch. She clicked her mouth in a "caw caw" sort of sound and repeated it three times. The bird flew away, and Luna settled into the grass, waiting for it to return.
