Where: The pub; outside; Sirius's bungalow
When: Tuesday evening
What: A date. And then an ass-kicking.
Rating: High: language and very likely violence

Sirius's note had simply said to present himself at the usual table at the back of the pub for his last date, this evening at seven. There was no mention of hair colour this time, which made Remus wonder if perhaps Sirius didn't really know this person. What little he did know was that this bloke was just getting used to being "out" with his sexuality. That bit worried Remus somewhat, but he figured everyone needed to start somewhere. He just hoped he didn't mess up too much and turn the bloke off of dating other men. Remus was getting very well acquainted to the disasters blind dates could be.
For the first time, Remus arrived first, taking a look around the pub before he made his way over to the table, rose in hand. Perhaps the bloke was simply elsewhere in the pub, scoping him out before making his approach, deciding if he really wanted to be seen on a date with this 'older but very good looking bloke', or however Sirius had chosen to phrase it. He couldn't quite remember at present, the fliers having all blown away ages ago. Thankfully.
And since when did Sirius go calling him things like 'very good looking'? Didn't he know that pumping up the product beforehand could only produce disappointment? Maybe that was what had happened; trying to help, Sirius had inadvertently set Remus up for failure. Remus remembered that bit, of course. He'd only forgotten how to blink for about three minutes as he'd stared at the words.
Ever since writing that letter to Sirius though, Remus did feel better about all of this. Calmer. The knowledge that he might never find love no longer causing the panic it had while the baggage had forced him to deal with the situation. It was disappointing, to be sure, but... it would be alright.
The longer Remus waited, the more he thought his date truly had decided not to present himself. He wouldn't blame him, of course. Coming out was already hard enough without having to deal with dates with the old, scarred professor/werewolf. If Sirius had been charging for his matchmaking service, Remus was sure people would have been asking for their money back.
