Anton had recently told her the same thing, so it was believable, if not a little more upsetting when told to her by someone else, whom she didn't know. It was terrifying, what she had been meant to married into. Very clearly, the look upon his face when he had beat her down came to mind.
Helena gasped around the picture, it was choking her to be there so clearly. For a moment, she thought it was his fist that she was seeing coming into her view. But no, it was a branch.
A BRANCH!
She couldn't duck, it was far too late by the time she realized what was happening. The branch struck with the side of her head and the breath was knocked out of her as she crumpled to the ground. Immediately, tears sprung to her eyes as her hand went to her head. Her vision was swimming and she didn't notice the foot connecting with her stomach, again, until it was too late. Again, the breath was knocked out of her and it took a little longer to catch it again. "I did not. Please.. stop.... Why, why are you doing this?" The world was spinning around her and Helena didn't know how to stop it.
