Bellatrix smiled finally when she saw that Helena was looking at the ground. Hopefully the girl was so upset by her words that she wouldn't notice Bellatrix bending and grasping the branch. She made sure to take careful, quiet steps towards the girl again, a predatory smile on her face.
"Yes, he did. He said he could understand why he had ever loved such a brat," she said gleefully. She took a moment to take in the expression on Helena's face before deciding that, finally, she was done torturing the poor girl.
Emotionally, at least.
Bellatrix lifted up the branch, and said, "You know, you really shouldn't steal. Especially not from someone as brilliant as your mother," and swung the branch like a bat at the girl's head, her smile growing as the girl crumpled. "She loved you, and gave you life, and how did you repay her?" Bella kicked the girl in the stomach, her tone cheerful. Why not teach the little brat a lesson while she was having fun? "Oh yes, by stealing her most prized possession." Bella kicked again, a slight growl coming out.
