Helena jumped at the sound of the voice coming from her side. She let out a little shout of terror, though it was quieted by her hands flying up to cover her mouth. She was expecting an animal, not a person, and certainly not a person to be coming from the wrong direction of where the snapping twig had been.
"Oh, my goodness." Helena dropped the hand from her mouth to her chest and breathed deeply. "You frightened me." She giggled a little, trying to calm her fast beating heart.
"No, I am not lost though, thank you for asking." Helena was a sweet child, when she wasn't in one of her moods, which came far too often lately and caused her a bit of trouble. She had a temper on her, thankfully, that was hidden today and she was in a generally well enough mood.
