Who: Angelina & George Where: Outside of the grocery store When: Lunch time What: Angelina needs to know if he's seen Roxanne Rating/Status: Low probably / In-progress
Over the past few days, Angelina's dread had been growing and nagging at her. She hadn't seen Roxanne since their dinner, and she hadn't seen a word of her on the journals. Even Lily, who seemed to be one of Roxanne's favourite cousins, hadn't seen her. At first Angelina thought she was just laying low, trying to figure everything out. But now, now Angelina wasn't so sure. Why would Roxanne seemingly vanish if she was still here? Ange knew there was at least person who had escaped the island, was Roxie another one? As much as Angelina felt it was for the best, she wasn't happy about it. She wanted to get to know Roxanne. Even if it was less as a mother and more as a friend. It was a chance Angelina never imagined she'd be granted, but maybe it was being taken away. Was that Angelina's fault, or did Roxanne figure some way off this island? She'd seemed clever, Ange wouldn't have been surprised. It didn't make sense she didn't tell anyone, though.
Although Angelina had done everything possible to stay on a different path than George, she couldn't any longer. If there was one person on this island that Roxanne would go to, it was George. Ange just needed to know if her daughter was still here. If Rox didn't want to see her, Ange could handle that. This not knowing if Roxanne was here or not was killing her. Skipping out of work a few minutes earlier than her lunch, Angelina headed to the grocery store. She would wait out here all lunch hour if she needed to. George wouldn't stay inside the whole time, would he?
Ange was nervous, but found she didn't have to wait long. Taking a step fowards, Angelina's arms were crossed over her chest and she kept her distance. "George?" she called out, in a nervous and gentle tone. The last thing she was going to do today was fight with him.
