The look on Adrian's face clearly said he didn't believe her for an instant. Of course she would tell. If it suited her purposes. That was the way of the world wasn't it? Okay perhaps that was the way of the world among the people he'd always known. "I'll believe that when I see it." Probably explained why he'd been enough of a dick to let all her friends know of what she undoubtedly thought to be a mistake. At least then he had the opportunity to control when it was that she spewed all his deep dark secrets to the world. Push. Push. Push.
He could see her muscles held rigid as he advanced, it didn't stop him in the slightest. Her words though, that did get him to shut up. Got him to shut up and grimace. She wasn't right, not at all. Even if she was completely and totally right. The best defense had always been a good offense though, at least in his oh so humble opinion.
"Oh so I'm the fucked up one." He made a sarcastic showing of his hands as he spoke. "I'm not the one who is letting her supposed friends walk all over her and make her feel like shit. Or wait is that only the people that you love who get to do that?" Adrian shot back. Perhaps it was a low blow but he'd never been accused of being kind when he was angry. "So if you want to let those friends make your decisions for you, don't let me stop you." It was a pointed fact that he was ignoring her question about Oliver. Wood was a twat. A twat who had of course won the cup when he hadn't, had started on a team before him and maybe, just maybe, Adrian had been a bit of a dick and sabotaged a good professional opportunity or two for Oliver. Oops. His bad. Not the point though.
